Lifestyle and fashion influencer Camille Co and entrepreneur husband Joni Koro tied the knot in 2019. In 2021, they started building their dream home, the #CokoroHaus. The two are always in sync in terms of their home’s design and aesthetics, and their refined taste in terms of home design and interior shows in every corner of their chic Scandinavian home.
Camille Co is extremely hands-on in every stage of the home building and design process. She’s also very picky in terms of the teams and suppliers she works with. The first-ever house tour of the #CokoroHaus features their immaculate laundry room in collaboration with Ideal Home.

Camille Co expresses how the laundry room is usually the most overlooked part of the house, and Camille is set on making sure that the CokoroHaus laundry room is well-thought-out with a lot of storage and aesthetic appeal! For Camille, the key is to always go for the perfect blend of functional and aesthetic.
“For our laundry room specifically, I wanted it to be functional and beautiful at the same time. I feel like when it comes to this space, most homeowners sacrifice one aspect for the other when in fact, it’s very much doable to have a smart and efficient space that’s Pinterest-worthy as well.”
Camille Co loved working with Ideal Home, calling it the ultimate one-stop shop for modular cabinetries, countertops, sinks, and even faucets and cabinet handles. Ideal Home helped Camille Co realize her vision of a super clean laundry room with subtle details of character and allure.
“I was fairly confident Ideal Home would be able to translate my ideas into reality. I already scrolled through their social media pages and website so I had a pretty good grasp of what they can do and they didn’t disappoint.”
Ideal Home has successfully completed countless residential and commercial projects throughout the Philippines and a number of international projects as well.
The #CokoroHaus is one of Camille Co’s biggest passion projects and as a reflection of the family’s lifestyle, aesthetic, and personality, every corner of the laundry room is also curated to exhibit their personal style and flair. For Camille, ambiance and functionality always go hand-in-hand.
“I knew I wanted the space to feel bright, light and airy which could be a challenge especially since I wanted to maximize storage space. But by using white, I think we were able to achieve this…I wanted something clean and classy but at the same time practical—which is why we went with a glossy finish for our cabinets. This way, they’re easier to clean.”
While finalizing the design of their laundry room, Camille also took into account the needs and preferences of the CoKoro Angels. While appeal and aesthetics are always important, she also makes sure that in the end, every space is practical and enjoyable to their household staff. Camille wants the overall design to be both organized and efficient.
“I also asked my Cokoro Angels for their opinions and got to know their workflow and how they like things done so I can incorporate solutions that would make the space efficient for them and their needs. Like for example, we have a wide sink that has a division in the middle because our staff used to use 2 basins—1 for soapy clothes, and 1 for clean and rinsed-out clothes. I also requested cabinets that would fit our laundry baskets because I noticed the girls would go around with laundry baskets to collect our dirty clothes around the house. Now they can easily store these laundry baskets in the cabinets and get the dirty clothes from there.”
Camille Co is also big on storage and wants to make sure that every single thing has a home. She was very thorough with storage design and definitely left no stone unturned.
“I really made a mental evaluation of all our cleaning supplies and equipment so that I could specify the measurements for all the cabinets and shelves… I was very specific with how I wanted our cabinetry to be designed. I wanted enough storage for all our cleaning supplies and laundry room needs. The materials we use have to be durable and practical too since this space will be used a lot.”
You can never go wrong with paying attention to detail, and Camille Co definitely covered all the bases. She even secured sets of cabinetry for the clean clothes in case the staff couldn’t bring them upstairs right away. From the ironing board to cleaning supplies to the vacuums and charging outlets of their cleaning equipment, the #CokoroHaus laundry room is the definition of functional perfection. Camille even mentioned in her Laundry Room tour that she used to have a whole Pinterest board of drying racks! And all the planning and visualization have definitely paid off.
When asked if she would have done things differently, Camille responded with a happy ‘No”.
“I wouldn’t do anything differently but it’s probably because I really planned and studied this for a looooong time. I knew what I wanted and what my family needed. So this is my advice, study your current home and find out what you like, what you don’t and what is lacking. Make a list. Go online. Search through Pinterest. Gather ideas. And then curate and finalize. Think long-term when you’re designing for a space. Consider how your family and your needs will evolve and grow.”
And when asked what her family and her friends thought of her new laundry room, Camille expressed how satisfied she is with the craftsmanship and how everything came together.
“Everyone loves it! Especially how much storage we have in such a tiny space. I’m so satisfied with how our laundry room turned out—from the quartz countertop to the cabinets and even the little details like the handles that Ideal Home suggested for our cabinets—they’re all perfect!”

Camille Co plans to continue working with Ideal Home in furnishing other parts of #CokoroHaus including the kitchen!
“Yes! We were thinking of saving costs by just buying ready-made cabinets and kitchen solutions but ultimately, we changed our minds. Nothing beats custom especially when you want to make the most out of a space. Plus it’s so much more convenient to work with Ideal Home because they helped us come up with a design that was able to maximize our budget for the service kitchen.”
When asked if she has plans to redecorate her home interior to keep up with the evolving trends, Camille replied:
“We just moved in so this is definitely not in my mind. I feel like if redecorating and modifying are already in my mind at this point, then we probably didn’t do such a good job at planning and designing our home. Thankfully, we love everything so far so it’s the last thing on our minds.”
From being known as a talented and amiable fashionista, Camille is now a happy homemaker and content creator.
